Oppotunity For The Vulnerable
Basing on the raising number of school dropouts due the insufficient funds to pay for school fees and scholastic materials, OFVU was started to help the most vulnerable and maginorised children so that they can attain quality education and become responsible citizens of Uganda.
The director(Rev. Fr. Robert Mutyaba) having grown up through a hard experience and he having seen what vulnerable children go through, he was inspired to start OFVU in 2016 to help the most vulnerable children in Mityana and elsewhere. Opportunity For The Vulnerable Uganda started with taking care of 5 children and the organisation is currently taking care of 20 children. We support the vulnerable as we help them have education in primary schools, secondary schools and tertially insitutions.

Dear all our friends and benefactors from Germany, Austria and elsewhere, receive kind greetings from Uganda and from our project opportunity for the vulnerable children. We are grateful to God that we still exist, may his name be praised forever. I would like to most sincerely appreciate all the efforts done by each individual to see that the needy and most vulnerable children attain better education and future.
Like many other countries, Uganda is now free from covid-19; all activities are going on well.
We used the money we recieved from our friends in the year 2022 to work on the following activities:

Our goal is to be self reliant and sustainable, much as we get some assistance from people of good will to support students, we thought of having a subsidiary project which can generate some money to add on what we receive to support the most vulnerable children. This project is going to be a guest house located in Wabigalo Kiweesa Mityana- Uganda.
Provison of quality education; as stated in our mission, we intend to provide quality education in good schools to the most vulnerable children. These students are studying in different schools.We collaborate well with these schools and we make follow ups to see that they get the best education.
DonateEducation alone is not enough. There are many values that are not taught at school therefore we try as much as we can to instill good morals, teach them how to work and religious values as well. Our intention is to get holistic, integral and responsible citizens of Uganda.
